Magnetic Kids™ donates a portion of its proceeds to charitable organizations that benefit children. Currently, we’re working through the wonderful DonorsChoose.org to “provide students in need with resources that our public schools often lack.”
Right now Magnetic Kids™ is donating money towards a new Art Center for a Kindergarten class in Southern California. Their teacher says “I have the students cut and paste, color with crayons and water paint, but using paint to make large pictures has been difficult. My students are 100 percent English language learners, and 95 percent of them receive free lunch… Recently, I showed my students a collection of Eric Carle books. They were amazed at his illustrations throughout all of his work. We have no area nor supplies to paint at our school since our focus is on language arts, math and technology…This center would be awesome for our students to take part in.”
You can also pick out your own proposal to fund, or support DonorsChoose itself.
The last few projects we donated to have been fully funded••••••
The Wonderful (and Messy) Creative Arts: The first grade teacher of the this Dual Language classroom in New York City says, “Help make my students messy- with paint and clay to activate their naturally creative spirits! … About 98% of our students qualify for the free lunch program. Our school is very overcrowded, and as a result, the arts supplies are quite low…With your help, I will be able to bring back teaching of the creative arts.”

Art In A Box: Teacher Heather D. Gladden says, “From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your generous gift of funding for this project. This generous gift will go a long way toward continuing to enhance the Art experiences that my Pre-K children will have. I have already shared this great news with my administrators and will shortly inform my parents that their children will have this wonderful experience this year. Without you, this wouldn’t be possible.”

Outdoor Classroom in Louisiana: Lisa Gross, the teacher, says, “I am so thrilled to have this grant funded. My school focuses so much on the arts. We believe that a well educated, well rounded person knows more reading, writing, and arithmetic. I cannot wait to implement some more art into the curriculum. An immediate plan on my list is to study Georgia O’Keeffe. With the outdoor easels, the students will have the opportunity to study, draw, and paint our courtyard garden. When I told the principal that this grant was funded, she was thrilled. Thank you again!”
